If you’re searching for a unique and artistic location for your engagement or wedding photos, look no further than the Springville Art Museum in Utah. As a photographer, I’ve shot at many beautiful locations, but this hidden gem stands out for its breathtaking architecture, elegant galleries, and stunning outdoor gardens.
My Top Tips for Shooting at the Springville Art Museum
If you’re considering booking your engagement or bridal session here, here are some tips:
Plan ahead – The museum has specific guidelines for photography sessions, I always call in advance to coordinate reservation time and pay the session fee. They do require a fee to shoot inside the museum - you can contact the event coordinator via email or check their website for the current fee : https://www.smofa.org
Dress to complement the setting – Elegant, timeless outfits work beautifully against the museum’s classic architecture and artwork. You can always bring more than one, we love options!
Consider the lighting – Late afternoon and early evening offer the best natural light, if you’re primarily interested in the outdoor gardens. If your main aim is to shoot indoors among the gallery art, I highly recommend the morning to maximize the amount of light coming through the windows.
Work with a photographer who knows the space – As someone who has photographed at the Springville Art Museum, I can guide you to the best spots and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
The Springville Art Museum is truly one of Utah’s most breathtaking and underrated locations for engagement photos and weddings. If you’re looking for a photographer who knows how to make the most of this incredible space, I’d love to help bring your vision to life!
